A user has built an automated clipping tool to save time finding highlights from streams and is wondering if there’s a quantifiable formula for identifying good clippable moments. This suggests a need for a feature that automates highlight detection.
So between dealing with a million different subscription services that rob you blind or spending 4 to 5 hours a day digging through a VOD looking for the right highlights from streams I finally snapped and built an automated clipping tool application for myself to save time (image so you know I'm not BSing). Figuring this out in code format out has me wondering if there's an actual formula that could be applied to figuring out what makes for great moments in a stream that should be clipped and people would enjoy if posted to other platforms. I know everyone has a general feel for what's good and what's not just by watching it but how exactly do you quantify that? Is there an actual formula behind what works and what doesn't?
