User struggles with layout decisions in an open-concept living/dining area, specifically choosing between sofa/loveseat or sectional, and placing a desk. Existing AI apps have not been helpful for this specific challenge, leading to fear of making the wrong choice.
Hi! I just moved into a new apartment and I’m stuck on the layout more than anything right now. Still sitting Midwest style in a lawn chair because I can’t commit to a couch 😅 I’m attaching photos of the empty space. A few details: • Open concept living/dining area • TV will go on a console (can’t mount) • I want the space to feel cozy, moody and elevated — not super minimal or light wood • I like a feminine/chic vibe but still really comfortable My biggest struggle is I can’t decide on layout and seating! • sofa + loveseat setup • or a cozy sectional The space before the window was originally intended as a dining area per the blueprint layout. I’m skipping a dining area and going with barstools to save space, would also love to put a desk in the area stacked with Christmas decor. Ai apps have let me down with this haha. Would love any and all suggestions! I feel like the layout could go a few different ways and I don’t want to make the wrong call and have it feel awkward or disconnected or too crowded. I tend to overthink this stuff and would love some outside perspective. Open to any ideas or specific suggestions 🙏
