User desires a process or tool that can display a design directly in the browser, providing immediate feedback on how 'things' feel and behave, without requiring additional dependencies (human, server, libraries, deployment etc.).
I run a design tool company. IMO "Design-to-code" tools won't survive. Design-to-code tries to make handoff smoother. Better specs. Cleaner exports. Smarter code generation. But it accepts the core premise: designers make one thing, engineers rebuild it in another. That's the problem. Translation is why handoff feels broken. Fewer translation steps isn't the fix – zero steps is. They're solving a problem that shouldn't exist. But if the design surface is the code, then there’s no gap to bridge. You’re just designing in the final medium. Design WITH code, not design to code.
