User requests a mechanism to prevent the loss of track recordings when the phone shuts down due to low battery. The current system loses the entire recording, which is frustrating. The feature should ensure recordings are saved or recoverable.
When I go out to record a track using my phone in my pocket, the battery will drain and if I do not pay enough attention, the phone may shutdown because of low battery. When this happens, the whole track recording is lost. It can be very frustrating to loose hours of precious recording just like that. I think track recording in OrganicMaps would be more comfortable to use (and more reliable) if I could just let it record as much as it can without having to pay attention to the battery level. **Ideal solution** If a shutdown occurs while a track is being recorded, next time I open OrganicMaps, (most of) the track should be there. **Alternatives solutions** Check the battery and stop recording when it gets low. Split recording into multiple consecutive tracks to ensure part of the recording is saved. **Additional context** In the past, the track was saved too frequently and it affected battery: #8927. Track recording should not drain too much battery: #9375.
