The user was disappointed with the unboxing experience for their $3000 Cobra 3DP Tour irons, noting it was a standard brown box with minimal packaging, unlike the premium experience seen in reviews for single concept irons or competitor products (Ping PLD putter). They hope Cobra will improve the packaging and overall unboxing experience for their high-end products.
I ordered a set of custom Cobra 3DP Tour irons (through Golf Galaxy) and they were delivered yesterday. I was very disappointed in the box quality and unboxing experience for having spend nearly $3000 on a set of irons. I watched the reviews on multiple YouTube channels on the Limit3d concept irons, those were a single iron that was shipped in a beautiful black box with a fitted slot for the club. They also came with a nice little divot tool to boot. The box my 8 club set came in was just your standard brown golf box with a single cobra label printed on it. And while the clubs were safely packed, head head individually wrapped in bubble wrap and paper packing material to fill the box it was nothing like I was expecting. No divot tool, not even paperwork other than a single yellow paper with the specs. I bought a set of used Mizuno irons from ebay last year that came in a nicer box with better packaging for under $300 than this had. Last year Rick Shiels got fitted for and reviewed the Ping PLD putter and in the review chewed them out a bit about the poor unboxing experience for such an expensive club. [In response they upped their game and delivered a much higher quality box and experience](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwONCalb_aU). I hope Cobra will do something similar. All that said, the irons themselves are perfect. Not a blemish on them that I can find, all the grips and shafts aligned well, and all the lofts/lies are true to specs.
