User suggests adding social features to the SmokeFix app to allow users to support each other in their quitting journey.
Hey r/SideProject, I've been working on SmokeFix, an iOS app for people who want to track, reduce, or quit smoking. Wanted to share what I've built and where I'm at. **The problem I was trying to solve:** Most quit-smoking apps assume you're going cold turkey on day one. But a lot of people smoke IQOS, vape, or want to cut down gradually before quitting entirely. I wanted to build something that meets people where they are. **What I built:** • **3 modes** \- Track (no pressure, just data), Reduce (cut down step by step), or Quit (full cessation with support) • **Multi-product support** \- cigarettes, IQOS, and vapes • **Craving tools** \- a 3-minute Ride Out timer, redirect activities, and mini distraction games • **Insights** \- trend/pattern cards, nicotine load tracking, trigger analysis, peak-time analysis, reduction consistency • **Money tracking** \- see how much you've saved and set savings goals • **Deep iOS integration** \- home & lock screen widgets, Siri Shortcuts/Intents for quick logging, Apple Watch companion • **Privacy-first** \- everything stored locally on the device, no cloud account needed This is a personal awareness tool, not medical advice. **TestFlight (Requires iOS 18+):** [https://testflight.apple.com/join/KqyPbS2Z](https://testflight.apple.com/join/KqyPbS2Z) **Disclosure:** I'm the solo dev. Happy to answer questions about the tech stack, design decisions, or anything else. **Feedback requested:** 1. **Onboarding -** Was anything confusing when you first opened the app? 2. **Quick-log reliability -** Did widgets, Shortcuts, and Watch logging work? 3. **Craving tools -** Helpful or not? 4. **Bugs/crashes -** What device, what happened? **What would make you keep using it daily?**
