The user's 2019 Bolt EV received a battery upgrade to 259 miles, but Google Maps' EV route planner still uses the old 238-mile range for the 2019 model. They had to select a 2020 model to get accurate planning. The request is to update the battery range data for specific car models and years, especially after recalls/upgrades.
It happened to me. The Google Maps Android Auto EV Route Planning. I actually drive a 2019. But the 2019 Bolt in Google Maps only has the 238 mile range. My car went through the recall and buyback thing and got the newer/bigger 259 mile range battery. So I had to lie about having a 2020. I got off work and was wondering if it'll work. Yep. No, I didn't drive to Vegas. I went straight home. I didn't mess around and explore anything yet. Personally, I would do more than 2 charging stops for an LA to Vegas road trip. I'm looking forward to fully testing it out at some point.
