User requests better tab grouping functionality that allows shrinking and extending tabs while keeping them on the same pages. They also want multi-login options and distinct profiles for work and personal use.
Hi there, I know there are plenty of threads like this, but they all made me really confused. Many people are searching for the best browser, but I understand that there is no such thing. I'm looking for a browser to use for business and productivity purposes only. I'm a freelancer working with many clients at the same time. I use lots of tabs at the same time. I tried the Workona plugin, but it was complicated, slow and buggy. My goal is to be able to use tab grouping perfectly. I want to be able to shrink and extend them. While doing so, I want the tabs to stay on the same pages. Beyond tab grouping, it would be great to have different workspaces and a multi-login option. Profile separation: This would involve keeping cookies, history and passwords for work and private life completely distinct. I would like to customise the search bar. For example, when I start typing 'Analytics' into the search bar, I want my browser to suggest the exact part of the website I want, rather than the most visited part, as Chrome does at the moment. I also want my tabs to stay on the page I left them on. I open two Google Analytics pages in two different tabs for two different clients. When I open the first one after two days, it automatically opens the latest account I looked at in any tab or the homepage. It's not the page I left it on last time. I use two Mac computers and want proper synchronisation between them. This would be useful for any business or freelancer scenario that I can't think of right now. I'm going to try Vivaldi this time — if you have any suggestions, I'd be happy to try them.
