User notes that Grammarly's plagiarism checker frequently flags AI-written content or definitions as plagiarized, requiring manual double-checking for false positives. This suggests a need for a more nuanced detection algorithm.
one thing I've noticed while using Grammarly to check for plagiarism on an AI-written piece is that it will take 4 or 5 words from a sentence and match it to something else found on the web, or if chatgpt defines something in the piece it will also say that the definition is plagiarized. you really do have to go through Grammarly instance by instance to double-check if it actually is or if it's a false positive.
