The current 'dream job' feature only allows candidates to mark one job per month. Users who are actively job searching might have multiple roles they are genuinely passionate about. Limiting it to one might make other applications seem less sincere or relegate them to a 'black hole,' potentially defeating the purpose for highly motivated candidates who have more than one top choice.
Don’t you think it’s wild that the only signal you can send in the job search to say ‘I want a job’ is to add one more resume to a pile? Shouldn’t there be a better way? I mean, you could pull a 2009 stunt like donuts spelling "hire me" but... that's not what I'm talking about... My friends at Greenhouse Software are trying something else. No sweet treats necessary. I wrote about it this week for every person looking for a job who's so tired of playing a numbers game. Their new dream job feature lets candidates pick 1 job each month to say "I really want this" and they tell the employers about it, too. It helps both sides prioritize the pile and gives people who don't have a referral a chance to get noticed. Best part? It's working. I got to talk to someone who got their dream job. I'm for anything that changes the odds from feeling like 1000 to 1 and I know a lot of you are, too. https://lnkd.in/eijBZebn
