[Zoho CRM] Improve integrations with external ecosystems

We’re a 35-person team, hit $2M last year, HubSpot bill was $1,600/month. We started at $400/month 18 months ago. The problem wasn't HubSpot being bad. It was the pricing model. Our contact list grew from 2K to 8K and suddenly we're paying 3x more for the exact same features. Add the $800/month jump to get basic automation and it felt like we were getting punished for growing. We almost spent Q4 testing alternatives and we finally migrated in January. Here's what we learned. # Why the pricing broke HubSpot charges based on contacts. More leads means higher bill, even if you're using the same features. We needed automation, custom reports, and multiple pipelines, all locked behind the Professional tier at $800/month + $3K onboarding + annual contract. Did the math and realized we were paying for Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, and a bunch of features we literally never opened. Its classic all-in-one tax. # What we tested **Zoho**: Tried it first because everyone says it's the value play. It is $14/user gets you automation and dashboards that HubSpot charges $100/user for. Though the UI is ugly and feels like 2015, but functionally it worked. Didn't pick it because integrations outside their ecosystem are rough and our stack is pretty fragmented. **Salesforce**: We ended up here after outgrowing Pipedrive. Not gonna lie, setup was a pain and we paid a consultant $8K. But the pricing model made more sense for us, scales with team size, not contact count. So our database can grow without the bill exploding. The reporting is also way more customizable, which our finance team needed. Downside is you definitely need some technical understanding to set it up right, and out-of-box it's pretty bare bones. If you're planning to stay under 30 people, probably go with its starter plan. **Pipedrive**: Used this before HubSpot actually. Super clean for sales teams. If you just need pipeline management and don't care about marketing automation, it's perfect. $14-34/user. We outgrew it but honestly if we were a pure sales org we'd probably still be on it. **ActiveCampaign**: We tested for our email campaigns. The automation builder is genuinely better than HubSpot's and deliverability was noticeably higher. But the CRM is basically nonexistent. Good for marketing teams that already have a CRM. **Freshsales**: It felt like diet HubSpot. Has most of what you actually use, costs way less ($18-47/user). We didn't pick it because we needed more customization than it offers, but if HubSpot works for you and you just can't afford it, this is probably the move. # What actually matters when deciding Forget feature comparisons. Write down what you do in your CRM every single day. We were using like 12 features and paying for 47. Calculate the real 24-month cost. Include onboarding fees, the users you'll add when you hire, contact tier increases. HubSpot's sticker price is a lie. Test before you switch. We ran our new CRM for sales while keeping HubSpot for marketing for 2 months. We found all the issues before going all-in. HubSpot's free tier is great if you're just starting. But if you're between 20-50 people doing $500K-$5M revenue, you're in this weird gap where you've outgrown free but Professional pricing feels insane. We're now at $600/month total for tools (Salesforce + Chatway + Jira) vs $1,600 on HubSpot. Took a quarter to stabilize but sales velocity is actually better because the tools fit our process instead of forcing us into HubSpot's templates. I only wish we'd done it 6 months earlier.
