User is looking for an OBD2 tool that can perform zero point calibration, as the current "paperclip method" is annoying. An eBay seller is building a custom tool for this purpose, indicating a market need for this feature in commercial tools.
I hope it’s okay to post an eBay link - please let me know if it isn’t. But after the hot post yesterday about an OBD2 tool for zero point calibration, I messaged an eBay seller who builds a similar thing for TPMS lights. Long story short, he agreed to build one that should work for the zero point. He said it will take a few extra days because he’s waiting on a shipment of buttons to go with the scanner. Apparently he’s a diagnostic tech and builds these on the side. He was immediately familiar with the paperclip method and how it can be annoying haha. I just ordered one and will be the guinea pig. He said if any 4th gen friends are interested, they can message him on eBay. Otherwise, I will create a new updated post once mine arrives and I test it out. TLDR: eBay seller is making the tool many of us were asking about. You can message and order one if you want, or wait until I receive mine and update you all. That’s all!
