A user expresses frustration with the time-consuming tasks related to invoice processing and suggests that QuickBooks should streamline these processes to make them more efficient for accountants.
Hi guys, so long story short, I finally was offered and accepted a job offer for an accounting assistant role after completing my bachelors degree in June. So, it’s been around 8 months since I’ve done anything related to accounting since my current job is not in accounting. A little bit about the role- it’s an assistant accounting position where I will be doing the back office work for a small portfolio of small - mid level companies. I will primarily be using quickbooks and my primary duties will be payroll, journal entries, AP processing, and some tax. I’m very nervous and scared since this will be my first real exposure to accounting in the real world, post grad. What tips or advice would you guys offer me so I don’t immediately mess it all up? What should I be doing in the two weeks I have before the job to freshen up my knowledge? Thank you for any advice or tips! I greatly appreciate it.
