Users, especially in specialties like neuro, need AI scribes to generate notes in a paragraph format rather than bullet points to avoid manual reformatting and improve readability.
I’ve been testing AI charting tools because manual notes are wearing me out. I need paragraph style notes, but shorter appointments in outpatient neuro make it hard to keep up. I've tried adjusting my workflow multiple times without much luck. I’ve been using the free version of Heidi Health for a month. It is easy to use and mostly accurate. The main problem is managing patients with multiple complaints. The bullet style formatting in the free plan slows me down, so I spend extra time reformatting through ChatGPT to remove identifying info. I tried their paid templates but that also didnt helped :((( I’m looking for alternatives... Edit: I also tried OpenEvidence, Doximity Scribe, Twofold, and Freed AI. None fully solved the main issue: I still have to check everything (SI/HI, meds, MSEs), so the liability doesnt change much. That said, Freed AI's free tier performed well than rest of others like it handled fast speech, interruptions, and overlapping dialogue way better than the others, which is huge for neuro visits. It gives a solid rough draft or checklist to build from. But it still outputs in bullets (not paragraphs), so I end up reformatting and verifying anyway, which eats the time savings I need.
