User is looking for a powered USB-C hub that provides multiple USB data ports (both A and C) for devices that require more current, and features a detachable USB-C uplink cable for flexible placement. They specifically do not want any display output ports (HDMI, DisplayPort) or other unnecessary features, as most available docks are over-featured for their needs.
I'm kinda frustrated at the moment with my search. Basically, I just a USB-C hub that's just: * a bunch of USB ports for data * powered since some devices combined pull more current than available (the problem I'm running into now) * a detachable USB-C uplink cable, since the desktop machine is up on a shelf, putting it a bit far for the hubs with built-in cables, and couplers seem to get weird sometimes The closest thing I've found is [the Anker A8308](https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Splitter-Connector-MacBook-Included/dp/B0CQSPMKF4), but it has a 24-inch cable, making it nowhere near able to be where I need it. Ideally, a box type dock would be better, but isn't a dealbreaker. It just seems like everything out there is designed for multi-display setups, and I need zero additional display options.
