After being denied monetization, I want clearer guidelines on what content violates the ToS. It would help creators understand and avoid issues in the future.
After having my channel wrongfully terminated with no warning, Getting billed for youtube premium subscription an hour after said termination, Spending 2 hours trying to find a way I can end said subscription, Trying to write an appeal whilst getting automatically logged out of my terminated account and the appeal form resetting, Getting my appeal denied 9 minutes after me sending it on a Sunday ("appeal consideration takes up to 2 business days" "we will manually review your videos" my ass), Having to create a twitter account to contact teamyoutube there, Having my post bombarded by 17 bot comments, Finally reaching teamyoutube and asking them for at least an explaination for my termination, waiting 6 days for their answer consisting of "we reviewed your content again and yeah still against ToS" without giving me any potential idea on what might be against their ToS (I had like 10 videos on my channel with 8 of them being decades old minecraft videos and the remainder being breaking bad or nge edits) (and no I wasn't a "hateful person" in any comment section because I do not leave comments) Getting billed for a channel membership I had (ofc they didnt cancel that why would they) I finally realized that I am free. I am free of the: Constant bullshit adblock antimeasures A company that allows literal porn/gore/csam ads The membership exclusive video spam on home page Youtube Shorts spam on home page (even after clicking the show me less shorts, they pop back up after a few refreshes) The disgusting self-censor the platform pushed on content creators ("The victim was unalived" etc.) Bullshit "experimental" "features" that sometimes cant be opped out of Random butchering of the ui/ux The whole youtube kids hellhole The bullshit clickbait/nothingburger videos and many more. I am gonna miss my playlists, and I'm kinda sad that I won't be able to show my children my minecraft videos, yet other than that I am happy to be free.
