I already own the TTS-55 Pro with air assist and enclosure for ventilation. Looking for a laser cutter that has the enclosure, air assist, ventilation, and maybe camera for lightburn to line up the cuts as one whole unit but has the bottom open. The reason why is I cut from rolls of leather of varying sizes but my actual cutting/engraving area is 11 x 11 inches. It's huge pain unplugging everything, removing the enclosure, and the laser cutter. After that I can roll out the leather over the metal bed and secure it with strong magnets. Put everything back and rewire everything. Mostly a pain if I need to make a last minute adjustment. Instead I would like to unplug the unit or just move it to the side if I have slack/space. Roll the leather over the laser bed. Then secure it and put the laser cutter back on top. I found some units that are made this way but they have reviews complaining about the customer support and/or lack of quality. It's tricky to find a C02 laser with an open bottom that is under 1,200 USD. Or get something that fits the rolls inside the enclosure but can't be as large as my van and cost the same. Do I go with the diode ones but, I need to find one powerful enough to cut through leather? I know mine can't since its a 5.5w laser. 40W maybe? I have dedicated cutting table that is 36 x 48 inches. Leather is 4mm at most but I usually work with 2mm or 1.6. Already searched reddit for a machine with a good reputation with the features I want. I haven't found anything while lurking here and leathercraft. You guys will probably have better ideas than me. The image is basically what I was looking for.
