The user needs a clean beauty liquid foundation that is non-toxic but specifically excludes common skincare ingredients (niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, aloe, salicylic acid, squalane) that trigger their rosacea. They are open to synthetic ingredients if it means avoiding triggers and want to avoid aluminum. They are not interested in powder mineral foundation, indicating a preference for liquid formulations that cater to their specific skin sensitivities and 'non-toxic' criteria.
It seems like every single clean beauty liquid foundation contains some kind of skincare ingredient and/or is heavy on the botanicals. I can't do niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, aloe, salicylic acid, or squalane (maybe in super low concentrations though). I have zero problem with conventional makeup. Literally as long as it doesn't try to incorporate skin care products, no matter how long the ingredient list, my skin is fine. Fragrance and alcohol don't bother me. My skin actively likes silicones too. But the more my foundation tries to double as skin care, the more likely it is to cause a rosacea breakout. I'm not interested in powder mineral foundation either. Has anyone discovered a foundation that doesn't have aluminum or other known toxic ingredients but also plays well with rosacea skin? I don't care if it's all synthetic ingredients I don't need "natural", just something fairly non toxic that doesn't have a bunch of botanicals or actives.
