Travelers are requesting insurance that covers missed connections due to delays in flights or other transportation, as this can lead to significant additional costs.
It’s my first time solo traveling, and I’m planning to go to a concert soon in another state in the US. I’m planning to fly in around 7AM and explore the city before the concert starts at 8PM. My plan was that I would leave a bit early if needed (around 10:30PM) to Uber to the interstate train and take it back to my state. I’m not sure if this is a good idea for a few reasons: 1. If the concert goes on too long, I would miss part of it to get back to my train 2. If I somehow miss the train, I will be stuck without a hotel. 3. The train ride is several hours longer than the airplane ride, so I’m not sure if I would get any good sleep. The other option is to book a hotel by myself, but that seems to be at least another $150+. However, I would be able to have somewhere to put my stuff before the concert starts, and I can do a little more sightseeing the next day. I can also fly back instead of taking the train the next day. I’d prefer to save money, but I’m just unsure if my original day trip plan makes sense if I have a concert I’m going to in the evening. I wanted advice since I’m planning this by myself.
