I work in produce, and when I got into work this morning there was leftover cantaloupe from samples sitting in the room. I figured it was from that morning and ate a piece and it tasted a little funky, my manager informed me it was from the previous day. I thought it would be ok cuz it was just a tiny piece but now I am having the worst nausea plus diarrhea and vomiting. I think I’m past the worst of it ( I hope) but I’m worried this could affect my baby. I’m 28 weeks pregnant and he’s kicking as normal as usual. I’m just not sure what kinds of food sickness can be contracted in this situation, am I just overthinking is this just a reaction to old fruit? I’ve seen online that listeria can grow on melons.
