User wants a USB-C hub for their MacBook Pro that focuses solely on providing USB-A and USB-C ports for data and power passthrough, without including unnecessary ports like HDMI, Ethernet, or SD card readers often found in typical docking stations.
I've been looking for a device for my MacBook Pro M4 where I can connect one USB-C to it. This hub, hopefully not a docking station, could connect to my USB-C and USB-A devices, for example my monitor and my microphone. Currently I only connect one cable, which is my Dell monitor to my MacBook Pro, which charges my Mac and at the same time streams data to my monitor. What I'm trying to do is have a hub that is correct for multiple devices, but most hubs have got multiple other ports that I don't need, like HDMI, Ethernet, and SD cards. Is there any good hubs out there that focus on USB-A and USB-C? And could also pass data with power?
