The user experiences discomfort and poor handwriting when writing on the left-hand page of a journal due to the spine. They currently flip the book upside down as a workaround. A design that allows the book to lay flat or provides a more ergonomic experience for left-handed writers would improve usability.
I hate the feeling of my hand bumping the spine when I write on the left side page and my handwriting was always more wonky on that side for whatever reason. Last year I often skipped that page but that seemed like such a waste. Then I saw someone on tiktok say you can just flip your book so that page is on the right! I was like wow...that is literally so simple but so effective! It means every other page is upside down now but I try not to re-read my journal entries too often so it doesn't bother me at all. I just wanted to share in case someone else here also dislikes the left page! Trying flipping your journal and see if you like it better! Ink is Robert Oster Whiskey. Pen is Lamy Safari F And the journal is Galen Leather Notebook
