User is frustrated that controlled substance refills (Vyvanse) cannot be requested via the app, despite an option existing that fails. They have to call the pharmacy every month, contrasting with easy refills for other medications.
Seriously, why do I have to jump through these hoops EVERY SINGLE MONTH?? So in order to refill my Vyvanse, I have to 1. Notice I'm running low. This usually happens when I go to take my pill in the morning and 'ohshitthatwasthelastone'. 2. Message my doctor on MyChart asking for a refill. 3. Wait for a response that they sent the prescription, up to 24hrs. 4. Wait for a response from Walgreens that they received my prescription. Up to 24hrs 5. Call ON THE PHONE to request they actually fill the prescription. Because apparently my doctor sending them the prescription and the fact we do this every month is not enough of a clue that yes, I do actually want the drugs. Also I can't use the app because....? Note, no one bothered to tell me I can't request through the app. There's an option to do it but about two days later, I get a notification that something's wrong and I need to call the pharmacy. If you don't want me filling it with the app, then maybe disable the button?? 6. They fill the prescription but I have exactly ONE DAY to pick it up if I don't want to miss a dose, assuming I haven't already run out. 7. Lord help me if this happens over a weekend or bank holiday. For comparison, this is what happens when I have to refill my Wellbutrin. 1. Receive a notification from the pharmacy "Hey, we notice you only have a couple weeks left, would you like us to use one of the 8 bajillion" refills we have on file for you? 2. I click a fucking button. 3. "Sweet, here's three more months worth. Pick it up whenever." Thats it. That's the rant. If anyone needs me, I'll be throat punching whoever came up with this system. Edit: Minor spelling errors Edit2: Because location has been (rightfully) brought up, I'm in the US. If you live elsewhere and don't have to deal with this, I'm happy for you and also hate you.
