User expects Figma MCP to be able to export design variables, ideally as a JSON file, without needing additional plugins. This would allow for easier general configuration in codebases like Next.js (e.g., globals.css).
Hi :) Thanks for the quick tutorial - I'm currently testing Codux for vscode and the Figma for vscode plugin, but I haven't found a perfect solution for translating my projects. I expected Figma mcp to at least export my variables (at least as a .json file - no plugins needed) so I could do some general configuration like globals.css in next.js, and then pass layout and component information, but those tools aren't perfect. Maybe you could create simple tutorials like task lists and simple CRUD operations from the project and show how to pass that information and component versions? I also find it challenging to design some special component shapes like clippers, etc., which are much harder to communicate with mcp :p While I'm creating real projects and delving into similar details, I realize that designers and developers won't be replaced so quickly, because all these tools don't work together as well as they claimed :p So we still need a human to make it all work :)
