As stated in the title, how is last minute availability to Europe now that it seems like UA has completely dried up. Seems my main hopes would be LH/LX? Not seeing much last minute availability for other airlines around March (just to compare with what would be possible). Anyone know if AY/IB/EI release last minute awards? I plan to travel in June, but dates are quite flexible, and so is the destination (with expectation of using a ULCC to travel around). Should I buy some refundable cash Y fares just “in case”? How risky is it to travel there without a return ticket, with a plan to book it while travelling? I’ve never done any last minute booking like this so appreciate the help. I’m based in Toronto, and have access to AP and Avios points.
