User hopes for a PCIe slot on the next Pi 5, specifically in an M.2 size, and implies a need for improved bandwidth beyond the current 500MB/s.
While the new compute board is a bit strange, with even a second camera connector and a second display connector, who is going to use that? Well, maybe it's just not me... But more a step in the right direction is the pcie slot 2x1, which still has a low bandwidth, just 500MB/s? I hope that this pcie slot will be there on the next Pi 5, but than in an m.2 size. I think when you'd want a single board with a better graphical chip, maybe RasPi is just not the right platform? But who knows, maybe someone will make a driver for some graphics cards by then, so that the pcie will make some sense.
