Users, especially non-coders, struggle when AI code editors fail to troubleshoot errors. They need better guidance and understanding from the editor on where to check the code and how to resolve issues, as they lack the technical knowledge to do so themselves.
"Vibe Coding" – using AI agent-based code editors to draft, iterate and prototype on programs on your behalf. Without writing the code yourself. The trend is here and now it has a cool name. This one, I think, is here to stay. Windsurf and Cursor are evergreen new tools in the toolkit in the same vein of Figma, Miro, Garageband, and Notion. Why does it matter? Entrepreneurs, No-coders, Product People, Artists, Designers, Tinkerers of all types can all play with code in an entirely interactive environment – where the interface is *language* and output is a *program*. If you work in software and are trying to work out a possible feature, or a new idea, or venture: get familiar with Vibe Coding. There's a learning curve: just like with Excel, iMovie or Notion. But it's getting gentler and gentler with every release of these tools. As a developer of 20 years, I am excited about how this gives people doing good work a new way to build software. If you have started your own "Vibe Coding" journey, let me know how its going in the comments ! Is it exciting? Frustrating?
