User, a new Audi Q3 owner, is looking for an OBD2 tool (comparing OBDeleven and Ross-Tech HEX-V2) that offers more than generic codes, specifically for in-depth diagnostics on Audi vehicles.
Hi all, I’m a new (and very happy) owner of a 2022 Audi Q3 S Line Premium Plus — my first Audi! I’ve worked on cars before doing turbo installs and suspension works, but I’m still learning the ins and outs of this platform. I’d really appreciate the community’s input on a couple of things: 1. Windshield/ADAS calibration: A rock chip recently cracked my windshield and it spider-webbed soon after. I’m planning to replace it with OEM glass but I’m confused about the ADAS calibration afterward — does it need both static and dynamic calibration? If I go with a local glass shop, what should I look for to make sure they handle the ADAS part correctly? Also, if I apply PPF to the new windshield afterward, could it affect the calibration? 2. OBD2 tools: I want to dig deeper into diagnostics. I’ve used BlueDriver but it only shows generic codes. I’m deciding between OBDeleven and Ross-Tech HEX-V2. What are the pros/cons of each for a DIYer who’s okay with a learning curve? Thanks in advance for any insights!
