When working with AI using design specification documents, these specs often change frequently in an iterative development process. Users need AI tools that can efficiently manage and adapt to these evolving specifications, maintaining context and updating outputs without requiring constant manual re-feeding of information or forcing a 'waterfall' approach.
Hey Designers, Want something for free? When working with an AI. Giving it a "spec document" is a great place to start. You can upload this and the AI will reference it as it works for you building the next big thing. You can use the template. Or, go to GPT and simply tell it that you want to create a spec document, for it to ask you questions and then to build the document and put it in the canvas. "Ok, then..?" Take the spec document and if you're working in something like Cursor and using ai running in agent mode in there. You can have it reference the document as a starting point. It will also continue to do so throughout development. This will also cause you to really "think" of what you want to build without touching, say Figma. It gets you to focus on the overall solution and its functionality. Not how it looks. That can come later. So, here it is.
