User expresses frustration with battery-powered cameras requiring frequent recharging and prefers cameras that plug into outdoor outlets for continuous power.
Hi everyone. I’m looking for recommendations for outdoor home security cameras that don’t require a subscription. Right now I have a Eufy floodlight camera that I’ve had for a long time. It worked well for years, but recently it stopped recording clips properly. I’m guessing it might just be reaching the end of its life because it has been outside for quite a while. So now I’m looking to replace it with something more reliable. Ideally I want home security cameras that I can trust and easily review footage when needed. I really prefer cameras that don’t require a monthly subscription, but if the subscription is small, then I wouldn’t completely rule it out. My plan is to install about two or three cameras around the outside of my house. I also want them to plug into outdoor outlets instead of using batteries. I used battery cameras before and it got tiring having to take them down to recharge them all the time. While researching different home security cameras I noticed there are a lot of options out there. Some brands look very similar and I even saw a few camera hardware designs discussed in electronics manufacturing listings on Alibaba. So, for people who run outdoor cameras long term, what models have been the most reliable for you? Edit: Thank you so much guys for the feedback. I appreciate it.
