A user is having trouble getting their Mac to display correctly on two monitors connected via Thunderbolt. They want a solution that allows for an extended desktop without needing to switch inputs manually.
Hey all I got two new monitors from a jew job ([Dell U2725QE](https://www.dell.com/support/product-details/en-us/product/u2725qe-monitor/overview)) I am having trouble getting the Mac to display correctly on both monitors. I have my PC connected to monitor 1 via display port (using a display port to thunderbolt adapter). This seems to work fine and will show on both monitors which are daisy chained together via Display Port. My Mac is connected to Monitor 1 via thunderbolt. It shows the same image on both monitors though. The second monitor does not show as an option in the Mac settings. The only way I can have an extended desktop on monitor 2 is to connect it directly via HDMI and having to switch the input on both monitors. This works fine, but I feel like there should be a way to use the daisy chain set up via the thunderbolt connection to Monitor 1. Is this doable? For reference it's a 2025 MacBook Pro with an M5 chip. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.
