User shares a method for using ChatGPT to manage browser tabs effectively by categorizing them, suggesting that a built-in feature for tab management could enhance productivity.
I have a bad habit when working online. I open way too many tabs articles, tools, random things I want to read later. After an hour, my browser looks like chaos and I don’t even remember why half the tabs are open. Recently I tried a small trick with ChatGPT. I copied the titles of all my open tabs and used this command: Group these tabs into 3 categories: read now, save for later, and close. It sounds simple, but it worked surprisingly well. ChatGPT quickly sorted them and even suggested which ones were probably duplicates or low priority. One time I had around 18 tabs open. After running the prompt, I ended up keeping only 6 open and bookmarking the rest. Another variation I tried was "Summarise these article titles in one sentence each so I can decide if they’re worth reading.” It saved me a lot of time because I didn’t have to open every tab. It’s not a revolutionary use of AI, but it solved a very real, everyday productivity problem for me.
