A new player expresses significant frustration with the difficulty of finding fireteams and clans in Destiny 2, despite existing LFG sites and a "fireteam finder." They feel the community is unhelpful and gatekeeping, leading to an isolating experience. The user desires a more accessible and effective in-game system to easily find and send invites to other players, as the current experience is driving them away from the game.
I have played with exactly 2 players that used a mic. People act like I should just know everything about the game when I haven't been playing it for 10 years. It is impossible to find a clan, any subreddit you post in instantly takes your post down because it's L.f.aOrRecRuitMent related. I haven't even done a raid. In 250 hours of play time, 300 if you count sitting in orbit messing with gear or selecting activities. I play on steam, I'm at least average, I'd say better than average at most activities, but have yet to find people to play with. When I ask, people are A-holes. I can see why no one wants to play, its because other players are silent judgy pricks. By all means, I want people to prove me wrong, I'd love to play the game the way it was intended, and not alone grinding to try and have a high enough light level to be considered a viable invite. It reminds me of the must have Gjallerhorn posts raiding Crota a decade ago. I have to much to say about this game to condense into a post. The game is good. Massive. There's an absolutely overwhelming amount of stuff to do. I don't hate it. Just wish people were cooler towards new players. Yes, there is firetram finder, and yes there are Ifg sites. How does a new player know that. By asking this community of hostile jerks. I just want to be able to log on, get or send some invites and play with some people. After 10 dead discord groups and 50 denied or ignored requests to join clans, I think I'm almost done with the game. Sucks I didn't play sooner so I'd have that friends list foundation and game knowledge to go off of.
