Long story short, I used to be a pretty heavy sleeper. Sleep was just never an issue. Well, back in high school I thought lucid dreaming would be cool. Looked into the WILD technique (remain alert and don’t move your body to basically trick your body into thinking your asleep) and tried doing that right away, and not even waiting until the middle of the night like you’re supposed to, since I didn’t realize it at the time. I swear that was when I first started waking up in the middle of the night. Thought nothing about it at first, but soon became an issue. Kinda forgot about it and got confused why my sleep was getting bad. Fast forward 8 years and now I get woken up 5 times a night constantly. Take mirtazapine, white noise machines, earplugs, the whole nine yards. I think a lot of it has to do with me being the lightest sleeper in the world now, but ya, it absolutely sucks. Thinking back to possible roots, anyone have experience with this starting insomnia, and if so, any tips?
