User expresses a strong preference for a strict budget cap pricing model over pay-as-you-go, citing concerns about agent screw-ups and cost control.
It doesn't matter what agent I use. I'll never go for, pay as you go or do as you please. Strict budget cap all the way and if the agent screws up more than it solves. Bye bye agent. To be honest: Co-Pilot was the first I dropped. Cursor is nice for basic to intermediate tinkering. My main driver still is Claude Code. Lately everybody is going crazy about Codex, but I personally think that is just a heavily sponsored marketing scheme by Altman & Co.
