User's ISP-provided router has a very limited configuration panel, preventing them from opening ports or changing DNS settings. They desire a router with more control over network settings.
I currently use an ATT BGW-320 that was provided when ISP set up my fiber. The router is fine, except that the config panel is soo limited. I can't open ports, or change the DNS, etc. Ive seen posts here saying the same things, so id like to get a new one. I dont have nearby neighbors to cause interference, i only have a small handful of wireless devices, and i dont play games so i dont need a 6 band SotA gaming router or anything crazy. Just need a 1Gb fiber input with as little restrictions on config as possible. Anybody have any recommendations? (p.s. ive tried openwrt but its a little above my head plus i had to use it on older spare routers since i didnt want to flash my isp router and brick it or something)
