Hi Everyone, I’ve been exploring a small retail idea and wanted to get some general feedback before going too far with it. The basic concept is a small unattended convenience-style store that operates mostly with automated machines and cashless payments. Customers would be able to walk in, grab items like drinks, snacks, or quick convenience products, and pay without needing staff on site. The goal would be to keep it relatively simple to operate — minimal labour, automated payments, and a limited retail footprint (probably around 30–50 m²). I’m based in Sydney and have been looking at locations with decent pedestrian traffic (commuter areas, busy streets, etc.), but I’m still in the early research phase. Before investing more time and money into it, I’m curious to hear from people who have experience in retail, vending, or automated stores. Just trying to sanity-check the idea and learn from others who may have seen this model before. Thank you,
