User wants to create mods and design campaigns for Baldur's Gate 3 using the recently unlocked tools, but finds the learning curve too steep, indicating a need for more accessible tools or better learning resources.
In an unexpected yet delightful turn of events, I am overjoyed to announce that I am starting a new role as Design Director at Mod Collective, where we will be creating new pathways into games via the creation of mods. ✨ Mod Collective is a relatively new startup aimed at making the best quality mods on the planet. And while they have already proven their capability of making excellent art asset mods for games like the Sims 4, they’ve been wanting to move into gameplay. And that’s where I come in! Over the next months I’ll be working with ModCo to develop an entire design department, expanding both what types of mods we create as well as which games we offer them for (Baldur’s Gate 3, anyone?). We even hope to one day create a pathway for Junior Developers to cut their teeth on game dev via modding, and potentially even financially support themselves through the craft. So follow Mod Collective here on LinkedIn! I cannot wait to work with them to expand game development and the learning pathways for juniors even further! Have you ever made a mod before? What mod would you make if you could? And repost to spread the love! 💜 #gamedev #gamedevelopment #indiedev #mod #mods #gamemods #modding #gamedevelopers #gamedeveloper #gamingindustry #hired #gamedesign
