AI image generators often struggle to render text correctly, leading to misspellings and nonsensical words. Users need the AI to accurately interpret and generate text within images to improve the quality and usability of the output. The poster in r/NoStupidQuestions points out the inconsistency of AI being able to read text characters but failing to spell correctly in generated images.
If AI can read text characters from images, and run spell check, why does nearly every AI generated image that contains text have misspellings? Why can't it determine that "Amassssiooon" is not a real word?
