User is confused about the differences between hotels and is looking for assistance in comparing them. A feature that allows users to compare hotel amenities, prices, and ratings side-by-side would be helpful.
As the title states, I rarely ever traveled growing up and it's continued in my adult years. I'm starting to change that and I'm needing help when it comes to hotels. What hotels are good to stay at for the average person? It's always going to be one room as it's almost always only me going. I guess I'm looking for 3 star hotel recommendations (I guess those are your Hiltons, Holiday Inns, etc). What hotel brands do the people at r/hotels like staying at? When I travel, it'll be in the continental US wherever I can drive to. Right now I'm planning a trip in June to the Detroit area (more north Detroit) and looking for a hotel is confusing. Right now I'm using sites like Expedia and hotels.com just to see rates, but trying to get the differences between hotels is what I get stuck at and need help.
