So before any of you start building out a homelab, containerizing your apps, networking each of them through a reverse proxy (a new gen one, at that), and setting up a VPN - set up your DNS server first. Don't be like me. Don't build out your entire stack that can't hand off any encrypted requests because your containers can't pass a server name. Use a DNS server.
