Users want a website that allows them to look at past transactions and sales history in specific towns, similar to Zillow but focused on closed sales. This would help gauge market trends and property values over time.
We are low key watching the market in the town we want to move to when we retire (within 2 years). We could move now and commute but it's a longer commute. Our house is paid off so we can take on a mortgage for the new one (don't have to make a contingent offer). It isn't a big area, at any given time there might be 10-20 homes on the market. I've been watching to understand what's 'normal' for the area. But - is there a website that lets you look at past transactions? Like a Zillow for closed sales, I guess. I am trying to gauge how rare our unicorn combination of yard size, garage, proximity to different benefits and distance from highway/train could be. Like - right now there's a home that checks almost all of our boxes EXCEPT the yard is small and it abuts a walking trail. It's bigger than we want but the location is ideal. The yard is small but it's bounded by protected green space. I'd love to see how common it is to find a 2/3 match in this town overall.
