The user expresses frustration that social media apps (like LinkedIn or Twitter) automatically refresh, causing articles or posts they are trying to read to disappear before they can finish them. This happens on both phone and mobile web, and they are seeking a solution to prevent this content loss.
This is probably another dumb question but I just can't figure out the reason why and I'm hoping somebody out there can explain it to me. One of my biggest complaints about any kind of social media app (which I've also heard from countless otheres), whether it's this one or Twitter or whatever, is that I pull up the app, regardless of whether it's on my phone or on mobile, and there's an article there that looks interesting . Before it's readable, the app refreshes and the article is gone. Why is there an automatic refresh on these? They all operate the same. Is there some good reason, maybe from a technical perspective or I guess a business model perspective, for doing that?
