The user wants an option to listen to live AFL games without commentary, allowing them to focus on the crowd noise and game atmosphere. They suggest either a dedicated non-commentary audio stream or the ability to balance/exclude commentary from the existing stream.
Just for imaginations sake you had a few supporters from every team bringing a good quality microphone to the game and live streamed that audio from the crowd straight to the web so that we, sitting at home could sinc/crank that up instead of having to listen to the commentary box. To me the unmolested roar and banter from the crowd tearing through my speakers would make the game so much better providing said streamer got the audio balance right. Given multiple spectators steamed live audio would also mean one is able to choose where their audio comes from in the crowd (civilized to not so civilized) and one would soon find their favorite streams and surrounding characters to listen to. One could even listen to opposing supporter streams for the comedy, banter and difference. I've felt this way for a couple of years primarily because I'm over having to listen to dropkicks (just not my cup of tea) in the commentary box who's voices stop me from being able to crank up the game atmosphere. The other alternative would be the AFL provide a non commentary audio stream so you could at least balance the commentary/crowd noise or exclude the commentary altogether. There is nothing on this earth like listening to the pure roar of the AFL crowd and I want the walls of my house to shake with it.
