A user is concerned about their baby's low daily intake and is seeking a way to track feeding habits more effectively. An app feature that allows parents to log and monitor feeding patterns could help identify issues and ensure proper nutrition.
I need help! I feel like my LO is just refusing to take bottles and I don’t know why or how to improve it. My 4 month old is BF via bottle (lansinoh/pigeon), latches for comfort throughout the day and usually does the first full feed in the morning via nursing. Used to drink 3/4oz every 3/4 hours.. Over the last 2+ weeks is refusing feeds and only taking in 14-18 oz a day (plus whatever from the breast.) at best days taking 20-24oz a day but more commonly the lower end. I’m worried they are not getting enough daytime calories/intake. We brought it up to their pedi and they didn’t seem to care because weight curve was good. The pedi also said we can start solids and this might just be LO telling us they want something else, but I feel like 4months is young and wanted to wait until 6months. I just feel in my gut something’s off but idk how to fix this. I don’t know if it’s coincidence or linked, but baby also has had stinkier green poops instead of the mustard yellow. \-baby is not sick, no visible teeth or red gums \-does it to my husband too, not just me \-will drink when sleeping/dream feed if offered and takes it easily. \-acts hungry and gets excited for bottle but then refuses (will cry, push bottle away - just acts disinterested) \-at random will drink the 4 oz like it’s no issue at all \-we even tried giving formula to see if it was a BM aversion and made the ick face and refused to drink it, so I know it’s not the BM (tried cold, warmed, room temp- no difference) \-Recently tried next nipple size on bottles with no change \-never really ASKS for food/bottles, since newborn we’ve just offered it at the hour marks. Should I try different bottle brands? Is this a normal 4month behavior? Is 14 oz really enough if they are otherwise happy, sleeping, etc for the majority? I’m just a FTM and stressing and worried.
