User expresses frustration with needing to manually update extensions in Cromite, similar to Ungoogled Chromium. They want a feature that allows automatic updates for extensions.
Before using Brave i was on Ungoogled Chromium, it worked well, but i left it since extensions would need to be updated by me from the Chromium Web Store extension, no autoupdates for the browser if you don't have like a .bat script in shell:startup for upgrading from winget and also for the fact that removes even some security features as far i know (this is the main reason btw), so i gave a look at Cromite that i always seen as a nice project based on Bromite that i used in 2022 (on mobile obviously), they released a desktop version for Windows and GNU/Linux, so i'm trying Cromite in vm just to don't have bloat everywhere on my host and feels smooth and fast, maybe is a good compromise and doesn't kill everything that has Google in it's name (in fact the default search engine is Google), what you think? please don't suggest me to switch to Helium or Vivaldi, i have already tried both of them and Helium has the same issues of Ungoogled Chromium except for extensions and Vivaldi has a terrible ui and i didn't find any css modifications or themes that match what i wanted
