The user finds the Discord interface for Pika to be a "dead end UX" and prefers using a web app, implying a need for a more robust and user-friendly web application experience for Pika.
I’ve been experimenting with AI video generation and its pretty fun. I use pika but I’d happily swap to any other service with better quality. So I don’t see any long term stickiness for me personally if there are a bunch of tools out there. So for the short term they’re getting 💸 from me but I don’t think it’ll last. I use the web app because personally discord is a dead end UX. My assumption is in a year the actual video side will become really amazing. It’s already decent but you can’t really do long coherent videos. I also find I do quite a bit of post processing with videoleap to hide how AI it looks and add more atmosphere. I think there will be a convergence between something like pika and videoleap. The mobile experience of videoleap is 10x things like pika or dalle3. Lightricks should just do it themselves since they have data or partner with one of the million other AI video startups that will be around. The fun side is it only takes 10-20 mins to produce a half decent video. So you can play with creativity and then go back to your ADHD ways. I always have some music in mind when I do the videos so it helps frame what I do. My style is influenced by the demo scene and heavy distortions. The collection is a highlight here but insta links suck https://t.co/zmcm6MmqBa
