The user is questioning the value of the $200/month ChatGPT subscription, given the phasing out of models they liked (sora1, sora2, 4o) and the availability of better coding models (Claude). They want to understand what the subscription offers in return for the cost.
what really is a $200/month ChatGPT subscription these days? so you get a large language model… i like 5.4 i know it’s an unpopular opinion, but looking at it from an objective lens, it’s a fairly intelligent model and i’ve never had any issues with the model as far as empathy, although it was not the vibrant 4o. 4o is in a league of their own, and no one really has matched this model. but, Gemini is now good too. so is Grok. Claude is an amazing model. again, they can never reach the level of honesty and genuineness with 4o. 4o is in a league of its own. but sora1 has been phased out. sora2 is going to be phased out. their most popular model which i love, 4o, which was pleasant and brought me joy every time, has been phased out. i rarely use codex. but even if i were to vibe code, claude code is significantly better. i’m struggling to understand what a $200 charge per month after all this is bringing, like what value?
