A user is building a browser-based DAW and needs a source of CC0, royalty-free samples. They request recommendations for legally clean samples that sound professional, indicating a need for a built-in library or integration with existing libraries.
Building a browser-based DAW and I have a hard requirement: every sample must be legally clean. CC0 or public domain only. No exceptions. I've already found a few solid sources but I'm looking for hidden gems the community swears by. Specifically looking for: \- Drums (kicks, snares, hi-hats, cymbals) \- Bass hits and loops \- Melodic instruments (keys, synths, guitars) \- Pads and textures \- Genre coverage: Hip-Hop, Techno, Rock, Dubstep, Nu-Disco, Dance The bar is high — these need to sound like they belong in a professional production, not a free sample pack from 2009. What are your go-to sources? Libraries, GitHub repos, individual packs, anything. If you've personally vetted the license, even better. I've already had one source claim CC0 that turned out to be CC-BY-NC, so I'm being careful. Appreciate any leads.
