As a college student looking to travel in the future, I want to know what credit card options would be best for building rewards and points for travel. Recommendations for a travel credit card would be appreciated.
I'm a 20 year old college student that lives in Boston and I would love to travel in the future so I setup a chase bank account and started building my relationship with chase when I got here 2 years ago. My current credit card system is a Freedom unlimited, CSP, and Amex BE card. My credit history is 26 years old (thanks to my dad) and so cancelling these recent cards won't affect my score too much. I have 170k UR sitting in my chase account but with the new changes to chase's CSP with Hyatt and points boost, I don't know if I should continue with chase come may. I live in an apartment and 90% of my spending is on groceries and food with my gf so I am contemplating heavily just switching to the Amex Gold but ofc I would love to travel in the future so I was thinking about the Venture X. It's weird switching credit card eco systems so idk what to do. If I do get an amex gold should I cancel my CSP or AMEX BE? Help would be great, I just don't want too many cards in my wallet!
